About Angela
I am currently a BA Graphic Branding and Identity student at London College of Communication (UAL) and a former IB Visual Arts HL student. I have experience developing full portfolios, exhibition work, and supporting creative concept development across a range of media, including painting, photography, and digital design.
Having recently gone through the IB process myself, I understand the challenges students face with time management, idea development, and meeting assessment criteria. I aim to support students by making the course feel more structured and approachable, while helping them build strong, original work with clear conceptual direction.

My approach to tutoring is highly visual, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on helping students understand not just what to produce, but how to think like an IB Visual Arts student—developing strong concepts, clear visual research, and intentional decision-making across their work.
In my teaching, I combine critique-based discussion with practical guidance. This includes breaking down IB assessment criteria in a simple way, supporting portfolio development step-by-step, and giving targeted feedback on artwork, sketchbooks, and written components such as the comparative study. I aim to make the process feel manageable and creative rather than overwhelming.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s workload and goals. Sessions usually include a mix of review, guided development, and set tasks to work on between lessons, ensuring consistent progress over time.
My lessons are best suited for IB Visual Arts students (SL/HL), pre-IB students, and younger students interested in building foundational art and design skills.
