About Heidi
I'm Heidi, an A-Level student currently studying Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I am passionate about all my subjects and would love to extend my skills by tutoring students in Maths and Chemistry. As previously mentioned, I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, a Grade 8 in GCSE Further Maths and a Grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry. I also have numerous certificates for Maths and Chemistry competitions outside of school, such as the UK Mathematical Olympiad for Girls in which I achieved Distinction with the highest mark in the school. All in all, I have excellent subject knowledge which I would love to share! Looking towards the future, I would like to study Biochemistry at university because it is a perfect combination of my favourite subjects. Outside of school, I enjoy playing hockey and doing ballet!

For Maths: I work with students to identify their weaker areas, in line with their exam specification. For each chosen topic, I work through an exemplar question with the student, then allow them to have a go by themselves, providing help if needed. I believe that mistakes help us to learn, especially for Maths, so won't pressure a student if they get it wrong. For Chemistry: I again work with students to identify their weaker areas, in line with their exam specification. For each chosen topic, I explain the key information and allow the student to take notes. I encourage the student to complete related PPQ's and we go through the answers together to correct any misconceptions. Lessons held at the students chosen length (usually 45 mins - 1 hour). I am happy to tutor KS3 and GCSE students. I have previous experience assisting in 'study support' clubs at school. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, a Grade 8 in GCSE Further Maths and a Grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry, so have excellent subject knowledge!
