About Catherine
I am an undergraduate student but will soon be a graduate student studying for my Master’s in Library Information and Sciences. My passion is literature, mainly poetry and short stories. I believe open and direct communication and understanding is the best way to work with others. I have always been placed in “honors” english classes for the last nine years. Lastly, I feel that I can help students to absorb their information effectively so that it may be used in their papers or class discussions since I have an extensive amount of experience with this aspect of English.

My main teaching method is to go over the facts of a piece of literature first because I have seen how much the background of a work can be related into the story. Mainly, I would go over the author, time period, events of that time period, and other outlying factors. We would then begin a discussion on how a work communicates its meaning to the audience/reader. Finally, we would have discussion questions that allow for students to think more deeply about the features of the work that help effectively communicate its message.

Catherine is one of the most reliable people I know. We met through school. I am currently a senior in college, in a predominantly science-based major. Because my curriculum has a few English classes, I need all the help I can get. Catherine has always helped me succeed in my courses by working with me to increase my writing skills and proficiency. As an English literature major, she is trustworthy and credible in her advice. She has made me a much better writer and has always helped bring my papers up at least one (if not two) letter grades! Highly recommend!!
Catherine is amazing!! She helped me with editing papers for an English Lit college class. Because of her, I was able to get an A on my papers. She is a great teacher because she not only helped fix the grammatical errors, but taught me how to write a better paper overall. I would highly recommend using Catherine on Superprof!
Catherine was great to work with! She gave awesome recommendations and caught all the grammar errors that I missed. I would recommend her to any of my friends!
