About Richmond
Hello! My name is Richmond, but feel free to call me Rich. I'm 18 years old and currently studying A Levels in Maths and Physics. I'm passionate about these subjects, and I’ve been inspired to start tutoring because of an incredible physics teacher I once had. Her lessons were engaging and enjoyable, and although she can no longer teach us, the impact she made on me has been lasting. My goal is to pass on that same enthusiasm and understanding to others, tailoring each lesson to meet your unique needs. I’m excited to help you on your learning journey!

-I use a multitude of techniques within my lessons including spaced repetition, the Feynman technique and the Pomodoro technique.
-A lesson will usually start with an introduction to the topic as well as a recap of the previous topic. Then, I will explain the key points worth taking notes of within the topic and brief over some example questions. After this, the student will be asked to complete some practise questions independently, and we will review these together once completed. Towards the end of the lesson, we will have a quick 10 minute discussion to summarize key points and go over any questions the student may have. This typical lesson has a duration of roughly 1 hour.
-I believe that this lesson structure is suitable for most KS levels from 1-4, as I am confident that I can make the learning space enjoyable and valuable. Whereas I may not have much professional tutoring experience, I am quite skilled with working with young people as I regularly tutor my family friends and my younger relatives.
-As I am an unexperienced tutor, I hope that I am also provided feedback so I can tailor these lessons better in the future and I can work with the student to grow together!
