About Paige

I am a piano tutor with 6 years of teaching experience and a BA in Musicology, specializing in Piano History. My lessons focus on jazz improvisation, comping, and developing an advanced harmonic vocabulary. I emphasize holistic learning through ear training, transcription, rhythmic precision, and jazz theory. I have worked with students from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate, as well as professional jazz musicians. Students learn to navigate complex chords and create expressive solos. We explore chordal voicings, improvisational techniques, and phrasing. Lessons balance technical exercises with creative exploration. I help students strengthen musical intuition and rhythmic feel. Each session is tailored to individual goals and learning styles. I encourage confident, spontaneous musical expression. Students leave equipped with tools for performance and personal interpretation. My goal is to make jazz piano accessible and inspiring. Begin your journey into improvisation and musical freedom today.

I help students explore piano composition and songwriting. Lessons focus on creating melodies, harmonies, intros, outros, and developing musical themes. My methodology emphasizes structured creativity to turn ideas into full compositions. I work with The Therapy Seeker and The Jazz Pianist to support expressive, meaningful music creation. Students practice experimenting with chord progressions, motifs, and rhythmic patterns. Each session encourages improvisation, exploration, and originality. I provide feedback on phrasing, harmonic structure, and thematic development. Lessons help students organize ideas into coherent pieces. We analyze professional works and create personal compositions. My approach balances technique, theory, and artistic expression. Students learn to express emotions and stories through music. Each session is interactive, inspiring, and tailored to personal goals. Together, we compose original music that leaves a lasting impression.
