About Priyen

I’ve been tutoring privately for five years and am glad I can help out with subjects that I’m passionate about. I'm really grateful for the support I had growing up and for the effort my students put in —it makes teaching very rewarding! I was a full academic scholar at Harrow School and graduated with a Masters in Design Engineering from Imperial College London. I've also had the pleasure of teaching at Imperial, so you're in safe hands... I’m a big fan of active communication as I want to provide the best support I can and adapt to student needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions and I hope to hear from you soon :)

About the lesson

I’ll happily help students understand specific topics, as well as how to approach questions and improve exam technique. I teach Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at GCSE level and Key Stage 3. My lessons are 1-2 hours long and should take place at least weekly; they can be remote or in-person (I’m based in Hackney.) I’m also able to set weekly questions, provide revision notes, and mark practice papers if wanted. I usually start with practice questions to help identify which areas to focus on, and then work through these areas with students. Our focus will shift towards specific whole papers as exam season approaches to make sure students are as prepared and comfortable as possible...

As a tutor myself, Priyen is the first person I go to for advice on anything, whether it's material for teaching or general guidance for lesson planning.

He is knowledgeable, kind and understanding in everything he does, including teaching and I would highly recommend him as a tutor.

I cannot recommend Priyen highly enough. He is kind, caring and patient. He has been tutoring my two daughters (15 and 13) for months and he has helped them enormously. Priyen is always on time, always engaged and always looking for ways to stretch my daughters’ knowledge. My youngest has moved up a set since she began working with Priyen and my eldest has gained the confidence to sit a higher paper in her maths GCSE. The highest of recommendations!
