About Guo
Hi. I am Mengyao.:).I’m a doctorate-level pianist trained at the Royal College of Music (RCM), it already got globe 1st for consecutive 5 years. With over seven years of teaching experience — including nearly two years in the UK — I have guided students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced performers, with a 100% exam pass rate across ABRSM, Trinity, and other systems. I welcome children, teens, and adult learners alike. Alongside teaching, I am an active performer. I’ve given over 20 solo and collaborative concerts in churches and cultural venues across the UK, gaining rich stage experience that I love to share with my students. I strongly believe that performing is an essential part of musical growth, and I do my best to provide students with both excellent musical education and real-life performance opportunities whenever possible. My lesson are designed to be relaxed, engaging and effective. In lessons, I combine technique, expression, theory, and aural training with a holistic approach tailored to each student’s goals. I also teach chamber music and offer professional accompaniment for exams and concerts. My teaching is warm, supportive, and structured. Whether you’re learning for fun, for exams, or for the stage, I’ll support you every step of the way on your musical journey.

As a doctorate-level pianist from the Royal College of Music, I offer tailored piano and music theory lessons and chamber music for students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners to advanced players, including adult learners and exam candidates (ABRSM, Trinity, and more). My approach is holistic and student-centred. I combine technical work with musical interpretation, and regularly incorporate aural skills, sight-reading, and even a touch of music history to help students build a well-rounded musical foundation. Whether you’re learning for fun, preparing for a grade exam, or returning to the piano after a break, I adapt each lesson to suit your pace and goals. Lesson format Lessons are available in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions depending on your age, level, and preferences. I also teach music theory as a stand-alone subject or alongside piano lessons. In addition to solo teaching, I offer chamber music coaching and accompaniment for exams, auditions, and performances, drawing on my extensive experience as a collaborative pianist. About me I have over 7 years of teaching experience — nearly two years in the UK — and a 100% exam pass rate among my current students. I’m also an experienced solo and chamber performer, which enables me to guide students in both solo and ensemble playing.
