About Lloyd

Hi, I'm Lloyd! I'm currently studying Modern Languages and Cultures at Durham University, specialising in Spanish (advanced) and Italian (beginner)

I've always had a strong interest in languages, particularly Spanish, which I studied throughout school and sixth form, achieving an A at A-Level.

Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels, I understand the challenges students face when learning Spanish, from getting to grips with grammar to building confidence in speaking.

I'm friendly, patient and enthusiastic about helping others learn. I believe that everyone can make progress in a language with the right guidance, encouragement and approach.

My aim is to help students not only improve their Spanish and achieve their academic goals, but also genuinely enjoy learning the language.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed around each student's individual needs, whether that's improving their grammar, building confidence in speaking Spanish or preparing for GCSE exams.

I like to start by understanding which areas a student finds most challenging, before working through them together at a comfortable pace. Lessons will typically last 60 minutes and include a mixture of conversation, vocabulary, grammar exercises and exam-style questions. For GCSE students, I can also help with past papers, revision techniques and understanding what examiners are looking for.

I'm currently studying Spanish and Italian at Durham University, having achieved an A in A-Level Spanish. Having recently completed my own exams, I understand how challenging learning a language can sometimes be, particularly when it comes to speaking and remembering grammar rules.

My lessons are suitable for beginners and GCSE students who want to improve their Spanish, build confidence and work towards achieving higher grades.
