My teaching methodology blends traditional methods with strategies like bar modeling and conceptual understanding to support both concrete and abstract learning. I begin each lesson by clearly outlining the objective and connecting new material to prior knowledge, using real-world examples to engage students. During direct instruction, I model concepts and apply bar modeling to visualize complex math problems, emphasizing their connection to abstract formulas. In guided practice, I provide scaffolded support, offering feedback and coaching to help students build confidence. Finally, I close with a review, encourage questions, and provide positive reinforcement, ensuring students feel confident in their progress.
