About Finlay
I am both self-taught and school-instructed in computer science, with 5 years' coding experience under my belt and achieved a grade 9 in the iGCSE in 2020.
My skill sets include python, C++, C#, Javascript, HTML5, Unreal Engine and Unity.
My programming highlights are:
- Designed projects in C++, coding a Raycast Renderer supporting different materials and properties
- Programmed in C# exploring graphics using both Unreal Engine and Unity
- Implemented CUDA Computations in C++ for multithreading basic mathematical tasks
- Wrote multiple, diverse problem solving projects in Python and created graphical programmes with Tkinter
- Developed basic websites in HTML5 and CSS
- Coded many JavaScript programmes including chess games, 3D interactive Rubiks cube, a 3D engine on the HTML5 canvas supporting textures.
I would love to share my passion for coding and knowledge of computer science with interested students.

Finlay is amazing at teaching the many physics and maths concepts that students have to tackle at GCSE and A-Level. His empathetic approach, always paying attention to the student and their progress, has ensured that any gaps in understanding are filled quickly and completely.
