About Kumud

Hi, I'm Kumud! Math and science have always been my favorite subjects, and helping other people understand them is what I enjoy most. Whether it's a tricky calculus problem or a biology concept that won't stick, my favorite part is the moment it finally clicks.

Outside of tutoring, I work as a Program Manager in the tech industry. That work has made me organized, dependable, and a clear communicator who explains complex ideas simply. I'm patient and encouraging, and I believe every student can succeed with the right support.

My goal is to help you understand the material, feel more confident, and enjoy learning along the way. My schedule is very flexible, and all lessons take place online. I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

I'm a Computer Systems Engineering graduate who has been teaching kids since I was young. I still help my cousins in grades 8 to 12 with math and science, so I know how to explain tough ideas in simple, relatable ways.

My approach is patient and step by step. We start by finding where you feel stuck, then break each topic into small pieces and work through examples together until it clicks. I focus on understanding the "why" behind each method, not just memorizing formulas, so you can solve unfamiliar problems on your own.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of what we covered last time and any homework questions. Then we learn the new concept, practice it with guided problems, and finish with a short recap and a few practice questions for the week. I can also prepare you for tests and exams.

I teach calculus, algebra, trigonometry, and natural sciences such as biology, for middle school and high school students. These lessons suit anyone who wants to catch up, build confidence, or aim for stronger grades. I'm also flexible with scheduling, so lessons can fit around your routine.
