About Sue
I am passionate about English and History, having studied both all my life. I want my students to, not only, be interested in their subject but to feel confident whilst reading, writing, researching or even filling in a university or job application.
To know where we are from gives us a greater understanding of where we are today and what we wish to achieve in the future.
These two subjects are the foundation for everything else.
If we cannot read, write and comprehend we cannot take our studies further and if we have no knowledge of the successes and mistakes of our past we will not learn from them and improve upon them.

I believe in inclusive teaching. I want my students to not only listen and learn but to engage and offer thoughts and opinions. To understand and appreciate their subject, they should also enjoy it as well as being able to question it, and me, as their tutor. It is never wrong to question anything and a good tutor will always help an interested student to find answers.
