About Djamila
I am an A Level student who just finished studying English Literature, History and French, in which I am predicted A*, A*, A respectively. I have experience volunteering in a primary school where I worked on reading and writing skills with years 3-5 as well as phonics lessons in reception. I am currently holding an offer from the University of Sheffield, an esteemed member of the Russell Group, where I will be completing a degree in Politics and Modern Languages, a subject that requires an excellent grasp of the English language in order to understand the structure of a foreign language.

I like to lead interactive and discussion-based lessons in order to keep the student stimulated. All my lessons, including the powerpoint slides, photo cards and word documents that I use, follow the government's curriculum for KS1 and KS2 ensuring a full coverage of all the grammar, spelling and reading points required for the specific age group. The lessons I provide are all tailored to the student's needs and I aim to focus on their weaker areas while helping them build up their confidence.

I highly recommend Djamila as an English tutor for A Level English Literature.
Her lessons were clearly structured with my weaknesses in mind helping me improve my analysis without wasting time revisiting topics and skills I was already confident in.
I couldn't recommend her more!Djamila is a very friendly person and an excellent tutor. I was struggling to understand aspects of the GCSE Literature course like the poetry analysis and comparison but she explained it in simple terms and helped me understand not only what to write but how to write it. This got me an 8 in my mock exam compared to the 6s I was getting last year and I'm so grateful for her help. I would definitely reccomend her to anyone struggling with English.

She went through the exam questions and helped me to understand exactly what the examiners wanted from me then taught me the easiest way to go about answering them which helped me to improve my grade by several levels in only a few months.
