About Sophie

Hi, I’m an experienced English tutor with over six years of teaching and tutoring experience. I’m passionate about helping students build their confidence and develop a love for English, whether it’s mastering the basics, exploring literature, or preparing for exams. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and I love finding creative and engaging ways to make learning enjoyable and meaningful. For me, teaching is not just about improving grades—it’s about empowering students to express themselves, think critically, and feel proud of their progress. One of the best parts of teaching is getting to know each student as an individual. I enjoy tailoring lessons to their interests and strengths, creating a space where they feel supported and motivated. Seeing my students grow, gain confidence, and achieve their goals is what makes teaching so rewarding for me.

About the lesson

Are you or your child looking to boost confidence and excel in English? With over six years of experience teaching and tutoring, I offer bespoke, engaging lessons tailored to each individual’s needs. Here’s why I’m the right choice: • Tailored Learning Plans: Every student gets a personalised learning checklist linked directly to their exam board or academic goals. • Focused 1-to-1 Attention: My lessons emulate school structures but allow time for meaningful discussions, independent work, and reflection to deepen understanding. • Proven Track Record: I’ve helped students of all abilities achieve their targets, from building foundational skills to excelling in exams. • Creative and Engaging Approach: I make learning enjoyable by using creative methods to inspire and motivate learners. Whether you need help with grammar, essay writing, literature analysis, or exam preparation, I’ll design a plan to help you achieve your goals. Let’s work together to unlock your potential in English. Contact me today to book your first session!
