About Allyson
I have been in education since 2018 and recently earned my degree in English with a minor in teaching ELAR 7-12 in May 2020. Although it's my career, it is also my hobby to teach and assist students! I have been participating in poetry UIL and related activities since I was a teenager and have been an avid reader and writer for my entire life.

I focus teaching my students through building strong relationships with them and avoiding conflict by, when possible, keeping the class environment calm with high expectations. I believe that letting my students become comfortable with accepting their imperfect work and/or failures and motivate them to persist. They will not get to where they want to be academically until they have practiced it thoroughly!
