About Madison
Hi! My name is Maddi and I am a recent graduate, and English was by far is my favorite subject! In college I took classes like "The Modern Bestseller" and "Journalism". I have experience with tutoring 14 to 18-year-olds in English and helping Juniors and Seniors craft admission essays. I also free-write on my own time and love to read! I hope I can share my passion with you and help in whatever way you need!

I base my teaching on the student. In the initial meeting, I ask them what they need and want to work on. We can do a range of things. For example, we can do a thesis workshop, full draft edits, brainstorm how to begin, work on strengthening writing through sentence organization and word choice, etc. Or alternatively, if the student wants help with something like "proper" annotations to help remember the text and read faster I can help with that as well! It truly depends on the student and what they need from me! I prefer to work with kids 13+, but I am super flexible and would love to help younger kids too!
