About Amy

You are the reason I enjoy my work and find it meaningful. As an English tutor with seven years of experience, I've helped people from around the globe learn English. Each person learns differently, so I provide various styles to suit each one. My first lesson is free, so I can learn about you. We will make a learning plan that works well for you. I have helped people from India, China, Korea, Turkey and Pakistan. (My education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from George Fox University).

About the lesson

My experience teaching English begins with students at Duke University. I volunteered time to help international students in Master and PhD programs build, learn, and apply English skills. This provided them with greater opportunities upon graduation and higher marks on papers and presentations. I am proud of each one of them and am thankful to have been a part of their journeys.

Amy was my best English tutor ever. She is soooooo good. She helped my writing and reading when I was in graduate school. She helped me to build up my English a lot. Without her help, I wouldn’t have finished courses. She has not only teaching skills but also academic knowledge. Besides, she always make people feel comfortable and happy in conversation.
