About Kyla
I am a former ESL teacher with experience abroad in South Korea, both teaching and tutoring, looking to help young students learn how to write a proper essay and analyse literature and other texts effectively. My goal is to help students tackle English assignments with clear goals in mind and a full understanding of how to communicate their ideas through written assignments. I graduated from the University of Windsor with a BA Honours in English Language and Literature, and have helped students ranging from early childhood to late high school with their reading and writing assignments.

My goal for each lesson is to take a complex or scary academic idea and make it straightforward for the student. I ensure my students know what they want to express through their writing and have them practice organizing their thoughts and ideas into diagrams. Most importantly, I make sure my students can communicate their ideas clearly to me, and from there we work together to translate those ideas into a fully formulated written assignment. Proper understanding and expression is key!
