About Katherine
I recently graduated from Durham university with a master's degree in chemistry. I have previous experience tutoring a level chemistry and am able to tutor chemistry at all levels. I also can tutor both physics and maths up to gcse level.
I consider myself an approachable person with a real passion for science. The challenge in science is always in the understanding and I feel I can work with your child to build this foundation of understanding from which high exam results can be obtained. I will tailor classes to suit each child's need to ensure the best use of everyone time.
As someone who only recently left the academic world i understand how stressful exams can be and would love to help minimise this stress for the whole family.

After discussion with both the students and parents about what they would like to focus on and the students aims are, I will structure lessons by a brief introduction to the subject followed by completing a prepared workshop questions with the student. The workshop questions will be tailored to the student and their aims. Going through questions together allows the student to improve their understanding while having me as the tutor see exactly where they are struggling. It also allows me to pass on useful exam technique to the student.
