Linda is one of our best Esol tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Linda

I studied and graduated from English language and communication and French degree in the UK. Shortly after I completed CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), and taught in a private language school for 15 months in Dublin. I taught hundreds of students from all around the world.

Today I teach English as a freelancer in London, either online or face to face. Throughout my career I have been able to realise which language skills are more necessary than others and which methods work better.

My approach to teaching is modern, creative, fun, and educational. Instead on focusing on generic grammar exercises and dated course books, I research my own material and dedicate my time to find out student's specific motivations and needs.

About the lesson

I strongly believe that the most effective learning takes place if the student is interested, motivated and primarily is enjoying the lesson. I always aim to create positive and easy going environment for the student, but at the same time I motivate the student to work hard and think for him/herself.

My lessons are mainly for students who are looking to improve their communication skills, and focus on real-world use of the language.

This includes all language skills but also finding out student's motivations/struggles and finding material that is current and useful for student's needs.

Finally, as a non-native speaker myself, I am aware of the difficulties and I will share as much as I can from my journey. I know what mistakes students tend to make, because hey, I used to make them too! I will also share tips about living in a foreign country, specifically UK and Ireland.
