About Shawna
I began my journey with ESL by tutoring young children who were newcomers to Canada in reading English.
I spent several months in Taiwan as an ESL teacher for an English School, where I worked with classes as young as 3 years old, as old as 14 years old. I spent my evenings tutoring privately, working mostly with teenagers who planned to move to North America one day for University.
I eventually went to University and obtained an Honours Degree in Modern Language and Cultural studies, where I honed my language skills and took classes on how to teach a second language to adults.
Now, I am self employed and am looking forward to working with English learners from around the world.
