About Tim
Hi, I’m Timothy — a British teacher based in Yorkshire with over three years of experience teaching English in Vietnam.
I specialise in IELTS (especially Speaking and Writing) and Academic English, and I’ve taught everyone from young learners and high-school students to adults.
I love teaching because I enjoy helping students gain confidence and achieve real results. Seeing someone improve their English and reach their goals is the best part of my job.
I’m patient, supportive, and always focused on making lessons clear, practical, and enjoyable. Whether you’re preparing for IELTS or simply want to improve your English, I’d be happy to help you on your learning journey.

My lessons are fully student-centred and tailored to each learner’s goals and level. I specialise in IELTS Speaking and Writing, using official band descriptors to give clear, targeted feedback that helps students improve quickly.
I also teach Academic English and general ESL to all ages — from young learners and secondary students through to adults. Lessons follow Cambridge-style structure and CEFR-aligned planning, with a strong focus on communication, critical thinking, and high student talking time.
I use differentiated instruction so mixed-ability students all make progress, and I carefully track development through formative and summative assessment. Whether you need structured IELTS preparation, academic writing support, or engaging communicative English, my lessons are clear, supportive, and results-focused.
