About Ruben

I am passionate about the sciences and want to make a difference in the learning experience of young people.

Over the past two years many young people have missed out on a lot of learning, many teachers have been absent and/or neglectful of delivering the curriculum to its fullest.

I am here to help you to get to grips with your learning, develop confidence and make it an enjoyable experience where possible.

About the lesson

I believe that tuition has three main areas of focus depending on the age and ability or the learner.
Firstly to support students to master the basics of the subject, without mastering the basics further progress will always be hampered.
Secondly to support students in their own revision, exam practice and independent learning skills.
Lastly, potentially most importantly, to help learners comprehend and master topics they have found difficult and challenging when learning in school or revising themselves.

It give me much joy to see learner make progress and develop confidence in their abilities.

For online (via Zoom) tutoring I have a bank of resources at my disposal (power points, worksheets, exam papers) which I use and share with students.
I will always set and encourage students to complete additional homework tasks with some of these resources.
Where necessary I am happy to create new resources and will often improvise using power point or the Zoom annotation tool.
