Experienced private cello teacher and practice coach to all levels. Suzuki training.

I reached out to Samantha to help spark my daughter's interest in learning the cello, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the very beginning, Samantha demonstrated exceptional patience and warmth, creating an encouraging and supportive environment that made my daughter feel comfortable exploring a new instrument.

Throughout the season, Samantha remained consistently dedicated to my daughter's growth, introducing her to new techniques and musical concepts at a thoughtful and motivating pace. What impressed me most was her ability to nurture enthusiasm — my daughter began the season with little motivation, yet by the end she had developed a genuine passion for the cello and made the decision on her own to continue receiving lessons from Samantha and playing in school the following year.

Beyond her gifts as a teacher, Samantha is a truly accomplished musician in her own right. Her command of the cello is nothing short of remarkable — she brings to the instrument a depth of technical mastery and musical sensitivity that is immediately apparent to anyone who hears her play. Whether demonstrating bowing technique, guiding a student through intonation challenges, or simply performing a passage to illustrate a musical idea, Samantha's playing is expressive, precise, and deeply informed by years of dedicated study and practice. It is clear that the cello is not merely a tool of instruction for her, but a genuine artistic voice. That passion for the instrument is contagious, and I have no doubt that it played a significant role in inspiring my daughter's own love of music.

I wholeheartedly recommend Samantha as a music instructor. Her commitment to her students, combined with her ability to inspire a love of music, makes her an outstanding teacher and a wonderful asset to any conservatory.

I had the pleasure of meeting Samantha recently at a chamber music festival. She is an excellent musician, with a very strong understanding of technical foundation and musicianship. She is a gifted and hardworking cellist with a great experience in solo, chamber music, and orchestral playing as well. Samantha is very easy to work with as she is very friendly, cooperative, and a very passionate and motivated musician. Her teaching would be valuable to anyone that took lessons with her!
