About Carla
Hello! I am Carla Conrad, a professional singer-songwriter from South Africa, currently living in Nossen.
Music is my absolute passion, and I look forward to sharing this enthusiasm with you online!
My Background and Experience:Over 10 years of live and songwriting experience: I have performed for years as a professional musician live in luxury hotels and at international festivals (including the renowned Grand Hyatt Doha).
Awards: I am a proud recipient of the 2025 SAMRO Music Fund Scholarship.
Stage Presence: In my career, I have already opened concerts for well-known artists, such as the famous South African singer Jo Black.
Why you should learn with me:
For me, teaching is all about bringing out the music in you! As an active artist, I know the exact challenges of learning an instrument and writing your own songs.
My teaching is especially patient and empathetic. It is important to me to create a relaxed feel-good atmosphere where you can learn without pressure and discover your creative voice.
Whether you are holding a guitar for the very first time, want to train your voice, or want to learn how to write real song lyrics—I will accompany you step-by-step on your musical journey!

About My LessonsAs an experienced artist, I focus on a fun, practical, and hands-on approach. We will not get stuck in dry theory. Instead, we learn through the music you love, moving at your own comfortable pace.
- Structure of a 45-Minute Lesson
My lessons are fully customizable based on your goals.
You can choose to focus on just one single instrument or combine them:
-Option A (Single Focus): We spend the full 45 minutes focusing solely on one instrument—either beginner guitar or singing technique.
-Option B (The Songwriter Package): We combine guitar, singing, and songwriting to help you write, play, and sing your own original music.
-A typical 45-minute session includes:
First 5–10 Minutes: Warm-up. Quick vocal exercises or guitar finger-stretching to get ready.
Next 25–30 Minutes: The Main Focus. Hands-on practice of chords, vocal techniques, or lyric writing depending on your chosen path.
Last 5 Minutes:
Wrap-up and Next Steps. We review what you learned and set a small, fun goal for you to practice.
-Special Offer & PackagesTo help you stay consistent, I offer a special package: Buy 10 lessons and only pay for 9! (Your 10th lesson is completely free).
-Who This Is For
My lessons are designed specifically for absolute beginners of all ages who want to learn online in English.

Carla was a substitute lecturer at my college. I think it’s safe to say, my classmates and I quickly came to love her. I’ve quite literally loved every class I’ve had from Carla. She’s funny, very kind, patient with her students, and super talented! My technique very quickly improved from my classes with Carla. Some healthy vocal habits and exercises from her class are still with me to this day! Even with me not being her student anymore, she still helps me out every now and then. She’s very reliable, which I appreciate a lot!
I met Carla over 15 years ago, we studied music performance together. One of Carla's strongest abilities lies in her writing. The ability she has to write a moment into song lyrics and emote it in a musical way is incredible.
She encourages you to express your heart in such a beautiful and honest way.
She has immense empathy and care and that goes into everything she does. She creates a safe space for growth and coming into your own. I would highly recommend working alongside Carla!View more recommendations
