About Marie

Moving to Sweden or planning to?

I help expats and language learners learn Swedish in a practical, real-life way. I’ve worked with students of all ages, levels, and learning styles. I can quickly identify knowledge gaps and help students overcome them with practical strategies, clear explanations, and engaging materials.

As a native Swede with 20+ years of teaching experience, I’ll help you:
‣ Speak from your first lessons
‣ Understand how Swedish really works
‣ Learn useful everyday expressions
‣ Gain confidence quickly

About the lesson

✯ How do I teach?
My lessons are friendly, structured, and tailored to your needs—whether you're a complete beginner or looking to polish your fluency. Along the way, I’ll also teach you about the Swedish culture, way of thinking, idioms and everything in between.

In short, you will learn:
‣ Swedish culture & mindset
‣ Natural expressions and pronunciation
‣ How people actually speak

✯ What can you expect?
Our first lesson will be all about you - your goals, your challenges, and how you like to learn. Based on that, I’ll build a personalised lesson plan that suits your learning style.

Are you:
‣ An expat living in Sweden?
‣ A student?
‣ A complete beginner?
‣ Tired of just learning theory?

Book your first lesson and start — or continue — on your language learning journey! And if you have any questions or doubts, don’t hesitate to send me a message; I’ll be more than happy to help!

My son and daughter have been taking lessons from teacher Marie for three years now. We are very satisfied with their performance; they now speak fluent English and get high grades at school. Thanks to this, I was able to send my eldest son to an English school, which would not have been possible without her help. She is a wonderful teacher whom I highly recommend.
