About Jesse
Greetings! My name is Jesse DeVelis and I absolutely love playing guitar. I have been a musician for 10 years and believe that it is a gift that shouldnt be squandered. I start my process with gauging where my student is at musically and then go from there. Then I connect the dots and teach the music theory around that place they are at.
I have worked with fellow classmates in College and taught my youth students when I was a youth director.
As for searching for the "right" teacher, make sure they care about your learning experience. It will go 10x better when the teacher values where you are and where you want to be.
Now for you as a student, keep your head up and remember that you are unique. There is nobody else that can play the way you do. So as you learn, understand that you are not shaping yourself to be jimi hendrix. You are becoming your very own musician.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Don't be hasty. To become an avid musician, you must pull into the slow lane. Music is a process and you will only be as good as you want to be. Take your time and have fun.
