About Madeline
Hey there!
I've been a professional actor in NYC for six years, and have a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. I've taught at the Stonestreet Studio for Film and TV, and frequently lend out services for self-taping for film and theater auditions with private clients.
My background is in the Stella Adler/Stanislovsky method of deep script analysis, combined with Joanna Merlin's Audition Technique. Combine that with advanced improv training from Upright Citizens Brigade for comedy-specific scenes, and you've got the perfect bag of tools to grab from for any audition.
I'd love to help your child with any and all of their acting needs! From building confidence with theater games, to prepping for an audition, I'm here to help.

I've always loved working with kids of all ages, so teaching seemed like a natural way to transition that passion to a professional career. In college I was a teacher's-assistant and was immediately aware of how inspiring students are, and even more impressed by their can-do attitudes and eagerness to learn. For me, there's nothing more rewarding than awakening and supporting someone's artistic passion!
BFA New York University in Drama (trained at Stella Adler Studio for 4 years, and the Stonestreet Studio for Film and TV for 1 year). Graduated with Honors.
Graduate of Upright Citizens Brigade Core Improv Training, passed into Advanced Improv Training.
Audition Technique Teacher at Stonestreet Studios for 1 year.
Company Member at The Flea Theater for 2 years.

I begin assessing the student's specific goals and interests. Whether it be gaining confidence and learning to project, or nailing an audition for the next morning, we'll figure out the best steps to take together. I'll always make sure that the student feels comfortable and excited to learn, while encouraging them to take risks and grow.
I've working with young students (7-13) at acting summer camps, and older more experienced actors (18-26). Any age and skill level is welcome.
It's very important to find someone who can best help you accomplish your goals! Communicating this at the outset of finding a teacher is paramount so you can both be on the same page. I'd also make sure to find someone who you could see working with for a while, since acting is a craft that you'll want to keep working on, rather than learning how to "do it all" in one lesson.
Right now I'm most excited about the TV shows Glow and Master of None, both from Netflix. I'm most looking forward to seeing The Glass Castle in theaters soon, and am always on the hunt for Hamilton tickets!
