About Coach AJ
I have been told that I am a full-service Coach. I work with my students first relative to increasing their skills in the sport of archery. By doing so, I also train them to deal with their emotions, handle mental management and hone their physical strength which contributes to their well-being. Stretching before and after each lesson is mandatory. Proper Hydration is taught and observed. Physical Conditioning is taught and applied. Whether a student is a recreational archer or a competitive archer, they learn best practices for archery in order to achieve their goal(s). My goal, for many years, has been to have everyone participate in archery. I have enjoyed the sport since I was young. Seeing an archer's joy upon using a bow for the first time is so precious to me. Whether an archer has participated in archery previously or is a beginner does not matter. It's that the archer has fun foremost and then through my guidance and training is able to improve. Every day I look forward to seeing my students because they are the future of the sport of archery.
With my love for the sport of Archery, I wanted to share it with others. I volunteer taught for 9 years at various Sportsmen's Clubs. My late husband and I wanted to start a business where I could teach more students and more often. He passed away before we could do it together. But, I was able to start my business right after his death to fulfill our longtime dream. Every day I am fortunate to be living our dream and to share it with others and especially my students, for that I am forever grateful.
Certified USA Archery Level 3-NTS Coach. Participated in various Archery Coaches Symposiums. Continually updating knowledge through individual study, online and other advanced Coaches training sessions and programs. As well as participating in various archery competitions, both local and national, on an individual level.

All students must have an Initial Consultation with Coach AJ prior to lessons. Lasts about an hour and at no cost. Will discuss lesson options available, range tour with safety information, basic equipment and form, complete paperwork and tryout equipment.
Students of varying ages and abilities. As young as 2 years old and as old as in their 80's. Including different levels of autism, Aspergers, ADHD, wheelchair bound, and with other mental and physical limitations.
Check the coach out for their ability to communicate with you and make you feel at ease. A good coach is relaxed and has a great mental attitude towards students. Anyone can coach, but a good coach will work with a student as an individual and customize their studies to meet their needs.
In 2019, I coached six barebow archery students and competed at the US Indoor National Championship in Lansing. With students ranging in age from 10 years to 52 years. In 2020, I will coach nine barebow archery students at the same event, with ages ranging from 8 years to 40 years old.

Each student during the Initial Consultation with Coach AJ sets up their lessons. The most popular being 5 one-hour lessons for $90. Private Coaching is $45/ hour. Other options are available.
