About Cheyanne
I have a B.S in Zoology, I will graduate this May with a Masters in the Art of Teaching Science (5-12) with a Biology emphasis. I am also working on a TEFL certificate, in order to provide better service to ESL students.
Besides my extensive history in the sciences, I have taken AP English and AP Art; as well as, numerous Psychology and Sociology classes. I am happy to tutor any subject I am familiar with, even if it falls outside of my primary field of study.
I am seeking a teaching certificate, and intend to teach English abroad for a few years upon completion of my degree. I believe every person is capable of learning and being successful academically, but I know that everyone learns differently and they need different supports to be successful. My experience in teaching coursework has given me the tools to help my students become successful and confident.

First I start by having a conversation, we discuss what topics they are wanting help with, which areas they feel strong in and which areas they seem to struggle in.
Next, we establish the best practices for that student. Determine if there are any accommodations they need, what methods they have tried and liked/or disliked and why.
Then we discuss scheduling and prioritize our goals. As we begin going through the lessons and studying we evaluate our level of success and make adjustments in syles and methods from there to form fit each student.
