About Monika
I teach private lessons for Beginners to Advanced students in Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Tango as well as Nightclub dances like Salsa and Bachata. I also specialize in First Dance Wedding Dance routines and choreograph show routines for my performing students.
I started training and teaching in 1993 with former Professional Competitors and Studio owners, Nick and Toni Reavis. My vast training also includes personal Coaching’s with US Latin Champion Rosendo Fumero and National Ballroom Champion John Swick and many coachings with the Late United States Indedpendent Dance Council (USIDC) Judge Tina Rae. I still take coachings whenever possible to continue furthering my dance education and knowledge in order to serve my students in the best possible way.
My professional partnership with my dance partner formed in 1996 and we have been performing together in many Exhibition dances and Showcases, both in American and International style as well as in Theater Arts and also competed together.
Now, with almost 25 years of experience, I continue, alongside with my partner, at our new location at Shuffles & Ballet II in Little Rock at 1521 Merrill Dr. as well as the Quapaw Community Center in Hot Springs at 500 Quapaw Ave.

It is always my goal to provide my students with quality instructions in a harmonic and relaxed environment, to meet their needs, so that they can enjoy their dancing experience.
I feel truly blessed to be able to do what I love and bring that love and joy to others.

All lessons are private instructions, 50 minutes per lesson. The goal generally is to teach a solid foundation so that the student can become comfortable with some of the basic patterns in a variety of dances and then progress to more advanced dancing.

Monika is the best dance teacher! She knows all the dances and will dance either male or female as needed. This gives us the ability to watch her perform with each of us and also learn by observing. She is incredibly patient and a wonderful person, willing to work around scheduling conflicts and always so nice. We’ve been taking lessons from her for years and wouldn’t want anyone else! We give our highest recommendation!
She is so patient! And dances both male and female roles perfectly, so even if she's coaching my husband, I get a lesson in the finer points of my part by watching her. Also you will never meet a nicer person or anyone willing to address any problem, or adapt a move to accommodate a disability. We love her!
My husband and I have taken dance lessons from numerous different teachers through the years. Monica is definitely our favorite. In my opinion you won't find a better teacher.
