About Jameson
I first started with teaching piano in my freshman year of college. At that time I was a secondary education major, working in English classrooms as well as tutoring english-language learners. My Junior year I switched majors to Audio Engineering (Sonic Arts) and created a music club called "Sonic Lounge" with the head music professor. Within this club I taught students of all different grades electronic production and engineering. This club became a watering hole of musical collaboration, feedback and learning.
Since then, I have helped artists of all varying abilities, offering feedback and guidance.
I am an enthusiastic audio engineer/composer! I received my Bachelors degree at Champlain College with a degree in Audio Production. Additionally, I have been producing for 8 years and have worked with many different genres including but not limited to indie, electronic, rock and film scores.
Within my production, I have published a series of singles, EP's, and collaborations on all streaming platforms (Jameson Hunt) that span many different genres.
I have been playing piano for fifteen years and have incorporated my voice into many of my productions. I want to help students find their own sound and become confident in their musical abilities.
I have additionally started a podcast and published a series of episodes that display my use of audio recording, music production, and sound design; this podcast was created on a trip across the country and episodes were recorded in untraditional and acoustically untreated impromptu "studios."

I understand that the creative process is very personal and subjective, so I will meet you where you are at. I specifically work with Logic Pro X and am very knowledgable of plug-ins, mixing, composition, song-writing, and sound design.
Once we talk about your aspirations as an artist, I can determine how to best help you reach your goals.
Figure out what it is you are looking to achieve specifically within regards to your creative craft. Additionally, consider what sort of teaching personality wise you are looking for. The world of art is heavily based in emotions and creative influence, so the time you spend with your instructor should be empowering and motivating.
Finally, listen carefully to their portfolio. Their mixing/production style may not be the right fit for you.

It is equally important to vet your prospective music teacher. Regardless of their skill, their genre of expertise may differ from your wants and needs.
