About Halee
Throughout my years of high school and college, english has always stood out to me and been one of my strong suits. It is something that I find will bring passion out of any person, and create a different reality through something as simple as a pencil and piece of paper. Writing not only is a form of communication; but a basic essential needed in the every day life of someone. I have taken AP english, and am currently a college student at Northern Michigan University. I have always enjoyed helping others, whether it is emotionally, physically or mentally. I believe that a student should be able to gain confidence and understand challenging ideas.

My typical process for working with a new student is testing them to see what they do well in and what they could use work on. I try to instill grammar before anything, because that can make or break an essay, resume, or even a job application. It is essential to have decent grammar in the real world. I then try to teach them the process of making an essay in the correct form. This would include an introduction, body, and conclusion. It depends on where the student stands in English as to how I go about assisting them with learning; but the basics will always be included with anyone.
A recent event I am fond of was finding an old portfolio I wrote as a junior in high school. It was full of poems, and fictional writings I did. I felt as if I was brought back into time. The poems depicted so much emotion that I could literally feel every word as I read it.
