About Hayleigh

I worked at a local tutoring facility in my hometown during my senior year of high school as a staff tutor. Over subsequent summers, I offered my services virtually and have been a tutor on-and-off ever since!

I have tutored consistently since my senior year of high school in subjects ranging from algebra, to chemistry, to English literature, to American history, to SAT/ACT prep, etc.

I worked as a staff tutor during this time at a local tutoring facility known as CCPrep. In the summers that followed, I offered my services virtually.

I graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in English and minor in American history in 2018, having completed my degree in three years.

I will be starting at University of Chicago Law School in Fall 2020.

As far as test scores, I scored a 1500 equivalent (2280) on SAT, 34 ACT, 168 LSAT, and a mix of 4s and 5s on 11 AP exams, including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP English Literature, AP English Language, AP Spanish Language, AP European History, AP Government, AP US History, and AP Psychology.

About the lesson

I have worked with students from all backgrounds, including creative learners, students with ADHD, and student atheletes who struggled with time management.

Before the pandemic, I was living in New York City and spent many nights seeing different musicals. Most recently, I scored front-row tickets to "Hadestown," which was incredible!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It is vital for a student to understand what kind of learner he/she is and feel free to communicate that. If visualization is helpful, I want to provide tools such as drawings, timelines, and more that cater to learning in that way. If aural learning is prefered, I want to point the student in the direction of resources that offer repetition memory devices or songs. By understanding how a student learns, I can best serve them!
