About Therese

I have a passion for empowering students to express themselves coherently. Clear and engaging articulation is a powerful tool that strengthens a person's voice, and this enables them to create real change in the world they live in. All people benefit from improving their writing skills because clear and coherent expression establishes credibility and makes voices heard. Good grades are a nice side effect of developing writing skills because they open doors and expand opportunities.

I will help students grow by giving them organizational skills that facilitate the writing process, teaching them to build solid work that best represents their competence and credibility, and teaching them the structure that creates order and accessibility in writing. My priority is to help students grow as writers and give them skills to engage in meaningful debate so that they become involved citizens who adeptly shape their environment. Good grades are a natural side effect of personal excellence.

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Professional Writing (2017, cum laude)

I helped classmates write better essays when I was enrolled in college, and I currently tutor my neighbor.

(concealed information)

I believe everyone has a right to a good education and to speak freely. I take pleasure in using my language skills to help people achieve the education and growth they desire, and, of course, I enjoy the writing process, so I get excited about their assignments and seeing their passions and beliefs harnessed and "made flesh" on the page.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Professional Writing.

I ask about their goals, struggles, and current process, then I tailor my feedback and instruction to what they need. I give them tasks to work on alone and teach them new skills to accomplish them (if necessary), then I review their work and give feedback and tips throughout the development of the writing assignment.

Honor students, average students, and my neighbor is an ESL student.
