About Lisa
I am passionate about reading and writing and have been a highly successful public school teacher for more than 26 years. I am also a published journalist, and have written close to 50 newspaper and magazine articles. A Barnard College graduate, I have helped dozens of high school students write their college essays for successful admission to schools including the University of Wisconsin-Madison to Harvard, Yale, and Duke. I view myself as a writing teacher for all ages, and all genres.
I am deeply committed to my students' success.
I have been a teacher for my whole career—I love children and can work with learners of all abilities, styles, and engagement levels.
I am Montessori-trained, and know how to meet the student where they are.
