About Kay
I enjoy meeting and working with children and families and have professional experience doing both.
I love unlocking strategies that help students to not only become better readers, but to discover they can actually enjoy reading. I am certified in my state for grades K-6. I have been a teacher for 12+ years which includes 3 years in a special education setting for students who are emotionaly and behaviorally challenged.
I have a bachelor's degree in education and 15 post-graduate credits in special education and 9 post-graduate credits in early childhood education. I have 12+ years of professional experience as a teacher in public and private school settings.

Next, I will do an brief assessment to get a snapshot of your child's current level of perfomance. I will also request any standardized test score information you may have From this point, I will provide activities to support skills development. I will provide weekly updates on your child's progress.
