About Robert
I have been a classroom teacher (mostly high school, some middle school) since 1992 and I also spent 17 years homeschooling my own children. I have been certified to teach in California, Virginia, Georgia and (currently) Florida for English and Social Studies as well as AP Language and Composition and AP English Literature. If you are struggling with your writing assignments or just plain bored to death with that required English class, I can push you across the finish line and help you improve your skills.
I take great satisfaction when I see students who were convinced that they couldn't turn into students who CAN.

The most important thing is to find out what the student needs. I like to find out what the student is struggling with and emphasize the student's strengths and transform their weaknesses. It's been my experience that too many students give up on the writing process when, in fact, it doesn't have to be nearly so hard as they think.
I have worked with at-risk students, honors students and AP students.
Ask questions. Be honest about what your weaknesses are and what you need help with.
