About Brian

I am golf enthusiast who has been golfing for almost 30 years and has taught his four sons and several friends how to play at a level that makes the game enjoyable and takes away the fear of venturing out onto the course with other golfers. Nothing is more satisfying to me than watching that moment a person under my instruction "feels" that correct golf swing and witnesses the results as their ball soars to their target. Getting them to repeat that swing over and over again is my goal and my passion. Give me a try!

I have been a father for 25 years and have taught several of my children and friends how to play golf to level that they can enjoy and put up score cards they don't want to throw away before anyone else sees them.



I have golfed for almost 30 years and was taught by my father who was a scratch golfer.  I've played all over the country and have scored low rounds at some of the most famous courses in the world like Pebble Beach, Whistling Straits, Kiawah Island, Torrey Pines, Harbour Town, Bay Hill, and many others.  As a father of eight, I have a lot of patience and a good way of making sense to folks I am instructing and helping them apply the tecniques I am teaching.

We begin with a phone conversation so that I can get a thorough undertanding of your goals are and how realistic they are.  We will then come to an agreed upon goal that is attainable for the both of us.  

Our first lesson together will start with a swing assessment at the driving range at which time I will make note of swing deficiencies and offer suggestions and tecniques to address those deficiencies.  Subsequent lessons will continue to reinforce all aspects of a correct swing until it becomes natural to the student.  

At the outset, all lessons will be at the range until ball striking reaches a reasonable level of consistency, at which point we will incorporate actual rounds of golf together so that we can address the mental issues of playing a "real" game and having confidence in your swing no matter what challenges the course throws at you.



Children 12 and older and adults of all ages.



Be realistic.  If you are just starting to take up golf, don't expect to be good at it for a while.  Golf is a very difficult sport, but that's why we play it.  The challenge drives us and each time we overcome a golf challenge or hit a beautiful shot, it feels awesome and keeps us coming back for more.  Once golf gets under your skin, you will never want to be away from for any long period of time.  So be patient with yourself, don't get frustrated and try to play as much as possible.  If the only time you swing a club is during our lessons, you will not see the progress you would like.  



I shot a 74 at Harbour Town PGA Tournament Course in South Carolina.  My best round ever.  It was amazing!

Details

I am not a golf pro, nor do I pretend to be one, so I do not charge golf pro rates.  I charge $40 per lesson which lasts one hour.  Students are responsible for their own golf expenses (range balls, greens fees, etc).
