About Dave
“I teach all ages, 7 years old and up, at any level, and in all styles of music including rock, folk, blues, reggae, classical, funk, afro beat, traditional and free jazz, as well as advanced avant-garde concepts. All of my lessons are geared toward the individual students’ needs in transcription, composition, reading, improvisation, theory and performance. I like to create an environment that is friendly and laid back while addressing the personal goals of the student. I also teach special needs kids.”

Every single teaching moment watching students grow, performing, recording and creating music is pretty much what I live for. I really became infatuated when I started playing professionally at age 15 and really slipped into music organically.

When I was a young teen I went to take guitar lessons at the local shop. They asked me if I wanted a job teaching that same day. I've been teaching ever since.

"In 2001 I was asked if I could teach children with autism. I never could have imagined the amazing rewards and loving reciprocation I would receive from these truly gifted children and their families. Now, more than 15 years later I've had the pleasure of teaching many children with autism. It's been one of the single greatest joys of my profession as a musician watching these amazing children grow and flourish. I feel a true calling and blessing in my uncanny ability to connect with them."

I played with Dave in a couple of musical groups and was blown away by his mastery of the guitar, by his enormous creative talent and last but not least by his awesomeness as a human being.
He is so inspiring!!!!!!! He is a virtuoso and is a pro! Both as a performer and teacher i highly recommended him
David Ross is an excellent teacher and I couldn't recommend him more. He has taught both me and my son for several years. He is deeply experienced as a teacher, composer, and performer. He has a deep knowledge of all styles of music and an ability to explain musical concepts in an easy to understand way. In one lesson, he was able to help me unlock a lot of mysteries of the fretboard that had puzzled me for years. I'm miles ahead of where I was when I started with Dave.
Dave has been my guitar teacher since 3rd grade and has played a huge part of my life. I am now 20 years old and I am majoring in music. I have written countless amounts of song with dave and he is by far the most talented dude I know. We are almost done with an 8 song album that will soon be released on iTunes, Spotify, and sound cloud. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
I had the pleasure of taking guitar lessons from Dave and it was awesome! Dave is super talented and is a great teacher. He was very patient with me (I was a beginner) and keep me motivated and inspired the entire time I took lessons from him. He is also very funny and easy going. Highly recommended!
Dave is an amazing guitar player!!! He is also a magnificent teacher. He has so much patience and his classes are geared towards my needs and desires. never a boring moment. Most importantly, Dave inspires me to continue growing in my artistic path.
I highly recommend Dave for guitar and base lessons.
