About Joseph
Acoustic Walls provides individualized guitar lessons in a one-on-one or group setting, in-person, live online or video to students locally, nationally and globally.
Being a part of the “genesis” of guitar for many students, as well as the struggles and the epiphanies. Forging friendships along the way is an additional blessing. That is why the last 7 years have flown by.
Students not only learn, improve an deepen their guitar and music skills, they also get an opportunity to showcase their talent at our annual “Acoustic Walls Music Night”, held every year between Christmas and New Year’s Day. This is an opportunity for family members to be a part of their student’s progress and for all students and families to meet each other.

PRICING FOR INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP LESSONS:
Individual Lessons for Beginners–
Rates for lessons that come to your home :
$45 for a 30 minute lesson, $60 for a 45 minute lesson, and $75 for a 60 minute lesson.
By purchasing the 8-Week Lesson Package, you can lock in a schedule and save:
8 weeks of 30-minute lessons for $300 (save $60),
8 weeks of 45-minute lessons for $400 (save $80), and
8 weeks of 60-minute lessons for $500 (save $100).
* Travel distance exceeding 5 miles will incur proportional additional charge.
For lessons at my location:
$35 for a 30 minute lesson, $50 for a 45 minute lesson and $65 for a 60 minute lesson.
For an 8-week package:
8 weeks of 30-minute lessons for $240 (save $40),
8 weeks of 45-minute lessons for $340 (save $60), and
8 weeks of 60-minute lessons for $440 (save $80) * * * * * * * * * * * *

Group Lessons: If it is desired for multiple students to take lessons at the same time, a Group Rate will be applied, contingent on the size of the group and where we will hold the lessons. Please inquire.
Homeschool Students: Daytime hours and group rates available. Will work with parents/students to incorporate any relevant music studies/songs/performance preparation.
Cancellation Policy: Cancelled lessons may be rescheduled providing notification 24 hours prior. Three or more cancellations within an “8-Week Lesson Package” will forfeit lessons starting with the 3rd cancellation. Cancellations necessitated by instructor will be made up or credited.
Discounts: Students who sign up for a new 8-week session on the 8th lesson of the previous session will receive a 5% discount for Early Renewal. Students who complete the 8-lesson package in 8 weeks will receive a 5% Continuity discount on their next renewal. Students who have been with Acoustic Walls for one calendar year will receive an additional 5% Loyalty discount on all subsequent renewals. This discount will increase by 1% for each additional year. *Cancellations necessitated by instructor will be made up while keeping the continuity discount in tact.

Meet with the student and visit about their interests and what they do (school, work, hobbies, etc). We discuss what styles of music they like and songs they want to learn and may already know how to play. We explore some genres, styles and songs and then begin to make a goal and a plan to get there. This is an organic process and is purposed to be fun (after all, it IS called “Playing” the guitar).
For young beginners, the process is much more concrete, going over the parts of the guitar, string names, proper posture and hand-position. We then work on holding and learning 3 open chords. Our goal for the first lesson is to be able to strum through one song!
5 years old to 65 years old; beginner to intermediate/advanced; fans of Country, Folk, Rock and/or Gospel; from the United States to the Philippines and back.
Look for someone who can work with you to get you to where you want to be and help you discover what you may really want. Then, of course, the instructor needs to not only be skilled but able to teach according to the student’s learning style.
Every year Acoustic Walls hosts a Music Night for its students to feature their accomplishments. It is a highlight for everyone and is accented by Christmas Decorations, warm beverages and treats.
