About Yvette

As a nonprofit equine rescue as well as Fur Therapy and Riding lesson program we have something for every one on a personal one on one level. I'm a all around instructor I take adults and children teaching you how to become one with your horse, learning from the ground up and building confidence. We offer first time owner program where you'll learn everything from nutrition to riding even if you dont have your horse yet. We can also help you find your perfect horse. During lessons or Fur Therapy You can use my horse or your own horse. The horses you use here are all rescue horses who have been given a second chance. I can possibly travel for lessons if you have a horse and space to ride. I've trained and shown Quarter Horses, Paints, Arabians, I've ridden through Yosemite National Forest, on gotten to ride on beaches, I've put on numerous girls horsemanship camps when I lived in CA. I've vet tech with awesome Veterinarians.

I love teaching and helping people learn about horses. I love helping them experience their dreams (sometimes for the first time)and show them the love of horses I have. Helping them learn to open themselves to new things seeing the excitement when they accomplish a goal with their horses. Horses have so much to offer and getting the opportunity to give riding lessons and offer Fur Therapy for others is a amazing and rewarding. I look forward to helping you further your riding skills or introduce you to the incredible world of horses! Our Fur Therapy program is open for active duty, veterans, victims of Domestic violence, people who suffer from PTSD Anxiety depression social anxiety ADHD, focus issues, autism and some neurodivergent diagnosis.

I grew up training and showing then did girls horsemanship camps for troubled teen girls. I do students age 4 on up. I fell in love with teaching and being able to share my love of horses with other people.



I've been teaching for over 30 years I've shown and trained in halter, trail riding, hunt seat and western pleasure. I've done Girls Horsemanship Camps for troubled teen girls. I do Fur Therapy program for Active Duty and Veterans as well as Domestic violence victims and special needs kids and adults.

I like to get to know my students with some basic questions  then we start our riding students with all basics safety its very important we learn from the ground up. We teach how to become one with your horses. Learning to properly fit your bridle, saddle and handle your horse. I'll assess your level and progress from that point. 



Adults and children even students with disabilities. We have students who suffer from PTSD and victims of domestic violence as well as students who show or compete, as well as first time horse owners. 



Make sure you click with the instructor and their methods of teaching. Be open to new ideas and ways of doing things. Always remember a solid foundation is so important for you and your horse!



One of my students who has been with us for many years is now starting college to become a veterinarian. She continues to volunteer with our rescue. Just seeing how our involvement with her impacted her life choices has made us so proud.

Details

Our basic lessons start at $35 and up a lesson. Lessons are aprox 45 min to 1 hour long. I do not book back to back to allow ample time.
