About Menamy
Full Instructorship in Systema, BJJ, JKD, Expert in Knife & Stick-fighting, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Kick-Boxing, Grappling, MMA and Street Self-Defense.
After training in many different martial art systems from all over the world for over 35 years I know what someone needs no matter what style or discipline that they are training in. I can teach certain styles but any style is too limited. You want to learn the principles that lie underneath every fighting style, which are not only physical, but scientific, philosophical and spiritual at the same time. When you learn principles you can apply them anywhere, in any fighting style or everyday life as well.
There are no rules out on the street. You meed something more than your techniques, your will and your ego mind to put your opponent down. You must let yourself align with the natural force such as gravity, or higher consciousness where your inspiration comes from. I teach you how to be in the moment and let yourself respond in the best way possible in any given moment by providing you with vigorous fighting movement drills.
I love to inspire people and teach them to be free. If you are not free no matter what you do, you will be limited. And it starts from your internal being. Your inner conflict, your opponent, your habits, your character, your health....there are so many elements that take your freedom away, which is translated to your physical power. There aren't many things better than inspiring people and seeing them empowering themselves. I do that through martial arts that I love. My teaching is not about beating others or even win a fight or a match. That is too limited. Yes, there are specific self-defense and attack skills that you learn, but what you get in my class are way more than that. You will learn a life lesson. Try my class and empower yourself with me.

I have trained in many different martial arts for over 30 years, notably with Rickson Gracie, Rigan Machado, Dan Inosanto, Paul Vunak, Vladimir Vasiliev, Martin Wheeler, Pat Strong, and many more...I am a black belt in BJJ and Kodokan Judo, a full instructor in JKD and Russian Martial Art.
I am a NYU graduate in Drama and good student of philosophy and science, which I use to expalin how certain skills and techniques work or do not work.

I see how the student stand, walk, sit and move in different ways to access where he or she is holding tension that inhibits the person and work to relax it, perhaps with optimal breathing to regain their own power. Next step may be to teach escape movement from a particular attack without using hands so you learn how to move your body. Then move onto usu hands and so on. My teaching is all about progression accrdingly to the student's ability and the needs
All kinds of people from a small kids to adults in their 60's and 70's. From very atheletic martial artists to complete beginers with physical limitations. Men and women both.
Why not try a few teachers?
And know what you want and study what they offer. Most of martial arts are specialty art and limited in the way they train and fight. If you want self-defense on the street, you cannot be limited.
I visted one of my old master, a world renowned martial artist and he introduced me as his teacher to the group. I have been teaching him a different art that he is new to. So the student became the teacher, so to speak. I am giving back to him what I received when I was younger. I like that idea of giving back.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It's better to know what you are looking for and be specific. But if you don't know exactly what you are looking for that's fine. Good teacher can guide you to a certain direction but do not be guided to what the teacher wants and can do. It has to be your needs and wants
