I have a background in Economics, Finance, and Mathematics, and a passion for helping students understand difficult to comprehend topics - particularly in Maths and Economics.

The thing is, most people have had a bad teacher in one of these subjects in the past, and that scares them out of learning more. That is a problem. Every day we have to engage in math, if only on a simple basis like paying rent or buying groceries. On a larger scale, not understanding basic economics results in poor decision making and challenges in financial behavior. Not to mention most high paying jobs require a solid grasp of these two subjects!

There is nothing more satisfying than helping a student fully understand something they have been struggling with or do well in a test!

There is no quicker path to improvement than expert tutoring.

About the lesson

Typically we start out getting an understanding of the student's strengths and weaknesses. That means a conversation about maths or economics, what the student understands, and what they are struggling with.

At the end of the day, the goal here is to help the student build confidence and competence in either Maths or Economics, I can only do that if I understand the gaps in the student's knowledge base. After that, it is a matter of creating a plan of attack and then slowly filling in those knowledge gaps.
