About Remi
I graduated from Harvard cum laude on the premedical track! I scored a 1560 on the SAT, the highest score in my high school. I successfully earned by I.B Diploma and I served as captain of my high school's math team. I also have over 8 years of tutoring experience! Most recently in college, I served as a teaching assistant for Chemistry as well as a peer tutor in both math and chemistry. I have also worked as an elementary through high school math tutor, an SAT prep tutor, a high school chemistry tutor, and a college application coach!
I absolutely love math, but I recognize that not all students enjoy the subject! I have a lot of experience in making math more understandable, accessible, and fun for students! I have 8 years of math tutoring and teaching experience and I have developed curriculums for students that they have found much easier to grasp than what they are sometimes taught in schools! I scored a 800 in the math section of the SAT and have tutored math at all levels!
I love chemistry! When I teach chemistry I focus on making sure students are understanding the concepts in the subject instead of trying to memorize everything (there's just too much to be able to memorize it all!). I scored a 5 on the Chemistry AP Test, and I have tutored high school chemistry, college Fundamental Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. I have also worked as a teaching assistant for a college chemistry class.
I have a passion for making education fun and accessible! In my most recent job I served as director and coach for a summer youth program focussed on helping over 600 youth aged 5-13 prevent summer learning loss! I am passionate about helping students of all levels achieve their goals!
