About Jasmine
I love helping kids learn and seeing them truly comprehend the material, knowing that the capacity to find information and use logic to find answers will help them later in life with their careers and at home. My process is always to use critical thinking skills, not rote memorization. Critical thinking skills can becarried over across disciplines, whereas memorized facts are only useful within the subject being memorized.
I have been tutoring in Texas for about two years and have been very successful. I have just graduated community college with an Associate's degree in Chemistry and intend to go on to get a Bachelor's and a Master's. Education is very important to me, and I believe that fostering a mindset of learning is essential to success in the real world.
I got started teaching in High School when I tutored a friend's kid in math and English. I picked tutoring up again in college so that I could help my classmates succeed and make a little money.

First, I like to gauge where they are in their curriculum and how well they are comprehending the material. Sometimes problems arise from new material, and sometimes it's an underlying, more foundational issue. Whatever the case, I make sure to address the source of the problem, not just the what it looks like on the surface.
I've worked with students 1st grade up through sophomore year of college. I've also worked with students who have ADHD and/or ASD
