About Lena
I am a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience supporting student growth and academic success. With a strong background in education and hands-on experience working with diverse learners, I specialize in helping students build both skills and confidence in their learning.
What I love most about tutoring is seeing students have those “aha” moments—when concepts finally click and they begin to believe in their own abilities. I am passionate about creating a supportive, structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and growing academically.
My approach stands out because I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all instruction. I tailor each session to meet the individual needs of the student, using clear modeling, guided practice, and engaging strategies that promote critical thinking and independence. I incorporate proven methods such as step-by-step scaffolding, targeted questioning, and real-time feedback to ensure students truly understand the material.
With strong communication, patience, and a focus on building lasting skills, I aim to not only improve grades but also empower students to become confident and independent learners.
