About Montana
I am planning to teach high school math, and have previously helped teach in both a middle school math and special education classroom setting. I'm very enthusiastic about teaching, and love seeing growth in students. Tutoring is a great way for me to become more comfortable in my career, and it's a great way for me to gain experience for my future!
I enjoy finding the best way for students to learn in a way that is both effective and entertaining for them. I really like learning the different personalities of all the kiddos I work with, and seeing their growth from my teaching. Working with students, and seeing their improvement in areas they struggle is encouragement for me, and satisfying to see how I have helped them to improve skills.
In relation to teaching, I am currently working on my undergraduate degree in secondary education. I have previously worked in classrooms for middle school math and special education, both of which I have gained great experience in the field. In addition to my first degree, I am also getting a degree in mathematics, supporting that I am knowledgeable of those subjects as well.

The most important thing to do when working with a new student is learning why they're having difficulties with a topic. There's always an underlying reason to cause struggles with subjects in school, so as soon as my student and I can pinpoint why they're struggling, we can work together to study with purpose. I will find ways to work with them that are supportive of their learning style and helpful to their success and growth in the classroom!
