About Elme
Hi! I’m Elmè, a dedicated and approachable tutor with a Bachelor of Education degree and more than 7 years of experience helping learners succeed academically. I specialize in English, Afrikaans and Computer Application Technology (CAT), offering lessons that are tailored to each learner’s individual needs and goals.
My aim is not only to help students improve their marks, but also to help them feel more confident and capable in their learning. I understand that school can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I create a calm, positive and supportive environment where learners feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing at their own pace.
I have experience working with a wide range of learners and abilities, both online and in person. My teaching style is interactive, patient and practical, focusing on clear explanations and building strong foundations that students can carry into the classroom and beyond.
Whether your child needs ongoing academic support, help preparing for tests and exams, or simply extra guidance to stay on track, I am committed to providing lessons that are engaging, encouraging and effective.

I am a qualified B.Ed teacher with more than 7 years of experience working one-on-one with learners both in person and online. I offer lessons in English, Afrikaans and Computer Application Technology (CAT), and I strive to create a supportive, encouraging and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and grow at their own pace.
My teaching approach is patient, personalized and learner-focused. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs, goals and learning style. Whether a student needs help understanding concepts, improving marks, preparing for exams or building confidence, I aim to make lessons engaging, practical and easy to follow.
I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans and can teach comfortably in either language depending on the learner’s preference.
In a typical lesson, students can expect clear explanations, guided practice, interactive activities and ongoing support. I focus on building strong foundations while also helping learners develop independent thinking and problem-solving skills. My lessons are structured but relaxed, allowing students to learn in a stress-free environment where they feel motivated and supported.
My lessons are suitable for primary school and high school learners of various ability levels. I especially enjoy helping students who may feel overwhelmed or need extra support and encouragement to reach their potential.
