About Destiny
Hi, I’m Destiny! I’m a former classroom teacher with 7 years of tutoring experience, including working with high school students preparing for the ACT and SAT.
I enjoy helping students figure out what is actually getting in their way on a test. Sometimes it’s a content gap, and other times they understand the material but need better strategies for timing, eliminating answers, or approaching unfamiliar questions.
I’m patient and organized, and I explain concepts in different ways when something isn’t clicking. I want students to understand both how to solve a problem and how to approach it efficiently on test day.

ACT and SAT sessions are based on the student's individual strengths and areas for improvement. We can focus on math, reading, English, test-taking strategies, timing, or a combination depending on what the student needs.
I use practice questions and timed exercises so students can apply strategies instead of just hearing about them. We also go over mistakes together to figure out what happened and what the student can do differently the next time they see a similar question.
Sessions can focus on one specific area or cover multiple skills as the student prepares for their test.
If you're looking for ACT or SAT support, send me a message with your student's test date and the areas they'd most like to improve.

Seems like a great tutor, organized & is willing to help in additional ways like cognitive functioning & organization skills on top of her math, English, etc!
Destiny is a very well organized English tutor for my 3rd grade boy. She is patient and experienced. She sends out regular progress updates and they are very useful to know the improvements.
Destiny has been an absolute revelation with my child. He is incredibly excited to go work with her and his parents. It is amazing to see the progress as well as have some structure to be able to work with him at home.
We saw an instant improvement in how he was approaching his math and spelling, and it made it much easier for us as a family to work on it together.Destiny helped my child to develop her writing skills. Before she would not want to write at all. Now she can write 20+ minutes uninterrupted. She has improved her writing skills in school. She makes learning fun and my child wants to go to her lessons!
